Indigenous artist Tracey McBeth-Kachor, a family member of one of our members, created the artwork featured on the shirts, giving the design a meaningful connection to our Local.
We are honoured to share a little about Tracey and the story behind her work.
Tracey McBeth-Kachor is a Cree artist from the Red River Settlement in Manitoba. Her art is deeply rooted in her Indigenous heritage and inspired by the strength, resilience, and stories of those who came before her.
Through vibrant colour and bold acrylic work, Tracey creates pieces that celebrate Indigenous people, culture, family, and connection to the land. Her work honours the past while looking toward the future, reflecting the importance of keeping Indigenous stories, traditions, and perspectives alive.
At the heart of Tracey’s work are resilience, visibility, and hope, celebrating Indigenous people and the strength that continues to carry cultures, traditions, and stories forward.
Proceeds from every Local 255 Orange Shirt sold will be donated to an Indigenous organization selected by Tracey.
